1100693 Alternator 4H14 37 amp 1965 Corvette, Chevrolet, GM

A Delco-Remy Corvette alternator 1100693 dated 4H14. I believe that is August 14, 1964. A very early 1965 model year production date.

Tested "Good" at parts supply house. Spins quiet and freely, but likley would need a rebuild to be show worthy. Original case and finish is in good shape, cleaned. Appears to be original dated diodes, so no former rebuild.

Continental U.S.A. bidders only. Shipping is $18.00. Insurance additional at buyers option. I accept Paypal only. Winner to contact me within 3 days, payment in 5 days. Please e-mail any questions and check my feedback ratings. GOOD LUCK!

Porsche race cars gather at Quail Lodge: Video

Thu, 20 Oct 2011

In contrast to the Rennsport Reunion's raucous goings on at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Race Car Classic at the Quail Lodge took a more serene approach in presenting the first few decades of Porsche racing. It was almost too serene, as the field of roughly 200 cars draped in loose silk car covers that greeted the crowd gave the impression of burying Porsches, not praising them. But things perked up with a group unveiling that revealed an outstanding collection of rare and unique racers, including many from the Porsche Museum and the Collier collection.

Toyota files for 'Supra' trademark

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Adding more grist to the new-Toyota-sports-car mill, the automaker has filed with the USPTO for a “Supra” trademark covering “Automobiles and structural parts thereof.” On one hand, it's routine for companies to protect their dormant trademarks; Toyota previously filed to protect the "Supra" mark back in 2010; that protection expired on January 27th of this year. The new filing was made on Feburary 10th, in the midst of the post-Detroit, FT-1 enthusiast froth. We can't help but hold out hope that there's a bit more weight behind this application than simple maintenance of the status quo.

Aston Martin ditches Cygnet city car

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

CITY SLICKERS will no longer be able to cut a dash in a diminutive Aston Martin, following the company's decision to axe the controversial Cygnet from its range. The tiny Cygnet, which takes its name from a young swan, was an adaptation of the Toyota iQ, refitted with the finest luxury materials and priced at over £30,000. Its low CO2 output is rumoured to have been the main reason for the model’s presence in the range, since Aston Martin could in that way lower the company’s average CO2 output across the range in line with European emissions rules.
