15FT OCI Headlight Windshield Gasket Speaker Sealant Retrofit Butyl Rubber Glue

Product Description

Included:

1 x roll of Butyl Rubber Sealant (4.57m length about 15ft)

OCI Orgavyl Butyl Sealant is a black, non-drying, non-hardening synthetic rubber based butyl rubber sealantsuitable for use as a placement sealant tape for installation between many surfaces. Glass, metal, plastic, etc.
It will remain permanently sealing and waterproofing between the two surfaces. It also creates a good anti-vibration sealant for speakers and a good waterproofing sealant for vehicle windshields.

Application
The area should be dry, clean, free from dust, oil and grease. Release the sealant from the release paper and press it sufficiently around the area that needs to be sealed. When properly positioned the tape should be continuously attached to the area that is being sealed. The purpose of the sealer is to provide a watertight seal. In cold weather conditions it is best to warm the tape prior to attempting the installation as this will soften the tape allowing better workability.

For Headlights
Apply the strip into the channel on your headlight housing, press on the front lens, heat (265F for 7 minutes) and press the two halves back together. After cooling, slice off the excess with a razor blade for a clean, OEM-perfect seal.

Kia uses wind power to lower emissions and boost economy

Wed, 01 Apr 2009

Kia's new Aero-Soul concept utilises wind power to lower emissions and boost economy [ad#ad-1] In a dramatic, and very cost effective manner, Kia has revealed the new Aero-Soul concept, which aims to drastically reduce Co2 emissions and improve economy by harnessing the power of the wind, in a low-cost solution called Air Propulsion and Retardation Installation Line. In simple terms, the A.P.R.I.L system uses small sensors built in to the front and rear of the car to monitor wind forces, and deploys wind chutes at the front or rear of the car to aid in braking or forward propulsion. So at cruising speeds if the wind behind the car is strong – such as in winter gales – the panels will harness wind power to provide forward motion.

Mercedes-Benz CL gets a facelift for 2011

Fri, 02 Jul 2010

Three years after its introduction, Mercedes-Benz has given the CL a mid-cycle facelift, providing the big two-door with lightly altered bumpers--those up front with new LED daytime running lamps, reshaped headlamps, a more contoured hood, larger exterior mirrors with integrated indicators and revised tail-lamp lenses, among other detailed visual changes. More significant than the styling tweaks, however, are the changes underneath the hood, with the arrival of a new twin-turbocharged 4.6-liter V8 direct-injection gasoline engine--the first of Mercedes-Benz's advanced MoVe powerplants that aim to bring efficiency gains to its lineup. With 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, the new engine delivers 47 hp and 125 lb-ft more than the naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 it replaces in the four-year-old CL500--enough to lower the luxury coupe's 0-to-62-mph time by 0.5 second to 4.9 seconds.
