This item is the sliding/actuating mechanism in the glove box lock for 1936-1940 Chevy Trucks.
It raises up or down as you turn the key , either locking or unlocking the glove box door.
The originals were made out of cast pot metal and prone to breaking.
The item for sale has been machined from billet aluminum and takes time to fabricate, (5 different setups to machine this piece.)
Item fits as original and I have included pictures to help explain fitment of this piece.
