Want to know why? read below.. More or less items could be provided upon request. Please send a message. Most people use 304 stainless steel to make their turbo manifold. Most of the time Schedule 40, which is very thick to prevent the manifold from forming cracks since 304 Stainless is not really good at withstanding high heat and can crack during the expansion process when heated and contracting as it cools. 321 Stainless is aircraft quality material. It is used on aircraft in areas of high heat, like the firewall for example and it is much more prone to expansion and contraction due to heat changes which makes the material more reliable and the ability to use thinner wall elbows/pipes. With these butt weld elbows you will have a better manifold for the same or even a lower price than a typical 304 Stainless manifold. I have done some research in the past as to which material is affordable and great to use for turbo manifold and found out that 321 is the better choice and still affordable. (a quick google search will display the same results). |

Fri, 09 Mar 2012Mercedes-Benz has lifted the veil of secrecy on the plug-in-electric propulsion system of its upcoming SLS E-Cell, first revealed in concept form at the 2009 Frankfurt auto show. Set to go into limited production in early 2013, the zero-emission version of the German carmaker's signature gullwing coupe is set to rival a raft of new high-priced electric or hybrid supercars due out in the not-too-distant future, including the Audi E-tron, the BMW i8, the Jaguar C-X75 and the Porsche 918. The car is undergoing development at Mercedes-Benz's performance-car AMG unit and its British-based sister company, AMG High Performance Powertrains--the company behind Mercedes' latest 2.4-liter V6 Formula One race engine.
