45.5" Long Motobi Benelli Cobra Wards 250 - 360 Throttle Cable on 2040-parts.com
Miami, Florida, US
Original NOS made-in-Italy Throttle Cable # M262 also replaces H8770
These cables were never stored outside and there is no rust on the inner and the housing is still pliable and crack-free.
Fits: The 250 - 350 Wards Touring bikes, Mojaves and Motobi.
Dimensions:
- Inner cable length: 45.5" (B)
- Inner cable diameter: 1.5mm (D)
- Outer housing length: 42.5" (A)
- the cable type is correct (thin cables for throttle or choke, thick for brake or clutch)
- the inner cable and housing are as long or longer than that required
- the cable is NOT a speedometer cable
1. Slide out the inner cable and set it somewhere clean, otherwise it will pick up loose dirt or debris that can jamup inside the outer housing.2. remove the housing endcap by twisting it off by hand or by carefully using pliers, take care not to smash it.3. slice off the outer rubber portion of the housing, the amount you cut off should be the as the amount you'reremoving from the housing.4. use a dremmel or wire snips to cut off the exposed inner wire housing coil making sure the cut end stays in linewith the coil or it will block or damage the inner cable (use needle nose pliers to correct if necessary)5. it's unlikely the original housing endcap will slide back over the rubber housing, sometimes I get lucky and it does..otherwise, slice off another portion of the outer rubber housing just shy of the length of the endcap.>6. Slide the original endcap back over the exposted inner coil.7. It may not stay there on it's own but it will stay in place once the cable is properly installed on the bike.
1. slide the inner cable back into the housing (I like to lube it before doing so, making sure to keep it away from dirtand debris)2. measure out the amount of cable to cut off to keep the same slack as the old one3. use a dremmel or wire snips to cut off the exposed inner cable, the cut needs to be clean, any stray strands will shortenthe life of the cable by a lot.. they also make it hard/impossible to install the new ferrel.4. install the new ferrel that fits your lever or carb. you can either a screw-on type or solder on a new one.
1. You'll need to decide which end to snip off, this all depends on what you have on hand to replace it with.2. snip off the original ferrel as close to the end as possible3. remove the inner cable4. following above-instructions on how to shorten the outer cable housing5. once the outer housing is cut and ready slide the new inner cable back into it and cut it to match the originalslack.

Race Is On For Leaf Owners To Reach Billion Kilometres
Mon, 17 Mar 2014JAPANESE car maker Nissan is preparing the ground for a milestone celebration, as drivers of its popular Leaf electric vehicle race towards the billion kilometre mark. Nissan is creating a series of animated stories centring on the experiences of selected owners to mark the event. For example, Roberto, from Valladolid, narrates his own story as the first taxi driver in Spain to buy a Leaf, explaining that since buying the car in October 2011 he has covered over 100,000 km and eliminated three quarters of his running costs.
Ford S-Max concept
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Ford has released details of its S-Max concept ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Building on the success of the current-generation S-Max, the concept (surely more a pre-production show car than a true concept) continues the low, long and sporty twist on the SUV recipe that has made it such a hit in Europe. So it retains the monovolume outline with a soft transition from hood to windscreen and the tapered roofline.
Paul Walker crash 'caused by speed'
Wed, 26 Mar 2014CRASH INVESTIGATORS have determined that the Porsche carrying "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was travelling at approximately 90mph when it lost control on a California street and smashed into a light pole, killing the actor and his friend. A person who has reviewed the investigators' report said that it concluded unsafe driving, not mechanical problems, caused the crash. The report says driver Roger Rodas was going between 81mph and 94mph when his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT began to drift as it lost control after coming out of a curve.
