Stolen Jaguar E-Type returned to owner after 46 years

A Jaguar E-Type that was stolen from outside its owner’s New York apartment in 1968 will be returned to its rightful custodian 46 years after the car first went missing. Original owner Ivan Schneider described the outcome as a "miracle" – which it sort of is, when you find out the full story behind the finding of his classic E-Type. Approved mechanics essential for quality service

DRIVERS need to make sure their car is being properly serviced by a qualified mechanic, says the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). To help drives do this, it has launched a government-backed scheme called the Professional Register. While there are around 175,000 people in the UK who call themselves automotive technicians, the IMI says it can only recommend around 27,000 as having the required skills and competence to carry out work to the required standard in their specialism.

We reported last year that Jaguar Land Rover looked like they’d got some decent product placement in the latest James Bond film (SKYFALL – known then as ‘Bond 23′) and now, with Bond celebrating 50 years, the 2012 Paris Motor Show imminent and the Bond SKYFALL film about to hit cinemas, it’s time for some Jaguar Land Rover PR.
