This is Peugeot's all-new family hatchback: the 308. The Chevrolet Trax – the Chevrolet version of the Vauxhall and Opel Mokka – will cost from £15,495 in the UK. First cars in July 2013. With a Chevy makeover that adds new front and back ends and Chevrolet badges, the Trax looks a decent urban crossover come SUV effort from Chevrolet and offers an alternative for those who fancy a Mokka but want to stand out from the crowd (and spend less money).

Vauxhall and Opel 'not for sale' - CEO Akerson

GM chief executive Dan Akerson has overnight dismissed claims that its Vauxhall/Opel European division is for sale. CAR's European editor Georg Kacher, and media outlets in Germany, reported last month that German chancellor Angela Merkel had weighed in to the debate and encouraged Volkswagen to step in and take GM Europe off GM's hands. Vauxhall and Opel have also been linked to a possible sale to the Chinese.
