AUDI A4 and Quattro With and Without Turbo 2001 to 2004 (UK and European Models)

Detailed description of removal, installation, adjustments, repair, overhaul and servicing of all the major vehicle parts (excluding body) including engine, clutch, brakes, steering, front and rear suspension, transmission, electrical equipment with wiring diagrams, exploded views and complete technical data.

Small though this Workshop Manual is in size, it lacks no detail in covering the whole of the servicing and repair of the Audi A4 models from model year 2001 generally known as the Audi A4. As usual the various models were offered in different versions. Different petrol engines were fitted, ranging from the 1.6 litre engine with a performance of 101 B.H.P. (74 kW), also listed with 102 B.H.P. (75 kW) to the 1.8 litre engine with a performance of 180 B.H.P. (132 KW) with turbo charger. Also available is a further 1.8 litre engine with turbo charger which is quoted with 150 B.H.P. (110 kW) and a 1.8 litre engine without turbo charger with 92 B.H.P. (125 kW).

Compiled and illustrated by experts, this manual provides a concise source of helpful Information, all of which has been cross-checked for accuracy to the manufacturer’s official service and repair procedures, but many instructions have derived from actual practice to facilitate your work. Where special tools are required, these are identified in the text if absolutely necessary and the authors do not hesitate to advise you if it is felt that the operation cannot be properly undertaken without the use of such tools.

The manual is called “Pocket Mechanic” and produced in a handy glove-pocket size with the aim that it should be kept in the vehicle whilst you are travelling. Many garage mechanics themselves use these publications in their work and if you have the manual with you in the car you will have an invaluable source of reference which will quickly repay its modest initial cost.

Panamera delays mean free luggage for owners

Mon, 23 Nov 2009

The first nearly 200 buyers of the Porsche Panamera in the United States are getting a little something extra--the Porsche luggage set, priced at $3,580--for free. Porsche is giving away the specially designed luggage because the first batch of Panameras are late--they've been held at the ports while a problem with the car's key and software have been fixed. The expectant owners were sent a letter from Porsche explaining the delay.

2013 Hyundai i30 3-door arrives on video

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

The next variant on the Hyundai i30 – the 3-door i30 – has arrived on video ahead of arriving in Hyundai’s Uk showrooms. Not only are there endless press releases for the news the car makers want you to know about, but there’s an even more endless stream of feeds coming in to make sure we miss nothing. Throw in all the car makers’ web sites, their press sites, their Facebook pages, their Twitter feeds and their YouTube channels – never mind keeping up with those who might just know something the rest of the world doesn’t yet know – and it’s a full-time job for a team of people before a story even gets written.

Suzuki Swift gets a tweak for 2013

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

Suzuki Swift (pictured) gets a tweak for 2013 Suzuki has had a couple of bites at PR for the updated Swift already this week, with news that the Swift can now be had with a 4WD option and that the Swift Sport can be ordered with five doors. So even though it seems a bit back to front to trumpet two new versions of the Swift before revealing the overall tweaks to the range, it’s probably got Suzuki three times the coverage they’d have got if they’d just announced the 2013 tweaks included the 5-door Sport and 4WD option. Who can blame them?
