Mercedes G-Class by Vilner – fit for Cinderella
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Mercedes G-Class by Vilner Bulgarian tuner Vilner has taken the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, re-trimmed it and made it in to an off-road carriage fit for Cinderella. It must be pantomime season when car makers (well, car tuners in the shape of Bulgaria’s Vilner) send out a press release for a product with half of it taken up with references to Cinderella. Porsche 918 Spyder races toward production
Mon, 19 Mar 2012OK, let's put the usual arguments to rest first: The Porsche 918 Spyder is going to be even faster than the Carrera GT in a straight line. That's based on Porsche's own computer simulations in anticipation of the production version of the gasoline-electric-powered 918 Spyder, which is due to roll off a dedicated line within a decommissioned paint shop at Porsche's Zuffenhausen, Germany, headquarters next year. The claimed 0-to-62-mph time is 2.8 seconds; 0-to-124 mph is 8.9 seconds, and top speed should be about 202 mph, thanks in part to series of active aerodynamic functions, including a multistage rear wing.
Lexus LF-Xh concept (2007): first official pictures
Thu, 11 Oct 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 11 October 2007 09:50 Lexus LF-Xh Concept: the lowdown Lexus will show off its latest wares on home territory at this month's 40th Tokyo Motor Show - and the big news is a preview of the next-generation RX soft-roader. The LF-Xh is longer and wider than today's car, but a full 40mm lower - suggesting the Japanese are taking cars like the forthcoming half 4x4, half coupe BMW X6 very seriously. Naturally, the next RX will build upon today's RX400h hybrid.
