DesignBoom has teamed up with Renault to create a unique design competition. With the Renault 4 entering its 50th year, the aim of the competition is to redesign and recreate the classic R4. The free-to-enter competition is open to anyone, not just design students and professionals.

Spyker C8 Aileron GT (2011) first pictures

Spyker is readying a new endurance racer, the C8 Aileron GT. and it's unveiled the car on the eve of the 2011 Geneva motor show. It's more good news for the fans of the obscure Dutch brand: last week the company that builds the cars in the UK bought the brand from holding company Spyker Cars N.V, there's a waiting list that stretches into early 2012, and now Spyker is committing to endurance racing for the next few years.  Based on Spyker’s new flagship C8 Aileron, the new GT racer is being designed and developed to meet the GTE regulations set by the ACO, the governing body of the Le Mans 24hrs.

2013 Porsche Carrera 4 set for reveal Paris motor show reveal

Porsche has lifted the veil on the fifth-generation 911 Carrera 4 all-wheel-drive sports car ahead of a September premiere at the Paris motor show. It is expected to reach North American showrooms in February as a 2013 model. The 911 Carrera 4 has a widened body with rear side panels extending 0.9 inches beyond the standard rear-wheel-drive 911, which allows for wider rear wheels and tires.
