Toyota A-BAT concept (2008): first official pictures

Tue, 15 Jan 2008

By Guy Bird First Official Pictures 15 January 2008 13:39 Toyota’s latest Detroit concept flips on its head the current orthodoxy that pick-ups can’t be green. Toyota said on Friday that it will build the electric version of the RAV4 at its assembly plant in Woodstock, Ontario, beginning in 2012. The electric crossover will use powertrains supplied by Tesla from California. The companies began transforming gasoline-powered RAV4 SUVs into functional EV prototypes last July.
