Howdy Folks,

Hope all is well.

Up for your viewing or auctioning pleasure is a Eastern Technology Corporation Magneto Synchronizer Model E50. Used and untested. As is condition. When we came across this unit the first thing we did was to remove the battery. The battery was connected and I tested the battery and it was deader than a nail. There was no corrosion on the connector and I do not smell any burnt circuits. The circuit board looks clean. Have the mailing box that it came in but no instructions. Not sure if this unit could be used on any magnetos or not? We looked up the corporation and model number to find out what it was. The unit looks to be in good useable condition. A few scratches and scuffs on the housing. The test lead wires look find and the clips are still strong. The serial number looks like a 1243. Winning bidder to pay for actual shipping cost. shipping weight is about 2.0 pounds. There are no instruction booklet with this unit. Thanks

"The Aircraft Magneto Timing Light Model E50 is the industry standard. Designed specifically for the internal timing and synchronization of aircraft magnetos, the E50 safely absorbs the current from the magneto's impulse coupling -- so there is no danger of engine firing while adjustments are being made.

The E50 timing light takes all the guess work out of the magneto timing process. And it's quick and easy to use: simply attach the three clips to the magnetos and adjust them until the E50's two blinking lights are synchronized and the buzzer changes in pitch. That's all there is to it. Perfect timing."

Thu, 22 Jan 2009

We brought you news yesterday of the new Honda Insight, which Honda is launching in to the European market. Honda has made big noises about the Insight being significantly cheaper than the Prius, which seems to have got Toyota thinking. The next generation Toyota Prius (unveiled recently at Detroit) is due out before too long, and is a bigger, better equipped car than the outgoing version, and therefore more expensive.
