Police authorities turning a blind eye to lane hoggers
Thu, 16 Jan 2014REX Features MSN Cars can exclusively reveal that just 13 drivers have been fined for lane hogging on the M25 since new laws were introduced last year – while thousands are still penalised for breaking the speed limit. The news comes following a freedom of information request carried out by MSN to the six police authorities covering London’s orbital motorway, which according to the Department for Transport carries 153,000 vehicles a day. Mon, 28 May 2007Starting June 1, 2007 Lorenzo Ramaciotti will become the new Group Chief of Design at Fiat Group Automobiles. Ramaciotti was snatched up by Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and convinced to head the company's design direction, filling a newly created position that hasn't previously existed at Fiat. Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who retired from Pininfarina in June 2005 after working for the famed coachbuilder for 32 years, will be responsible for all the Fiat Group brands, including Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.
Volvo Chief Designer reinterprets classic P1800
Mon, 12 Dec 2011Christopher Benjamin, Chief Designer at Volvo's Monitoring and Concept Center in the US, has penned his vision of a future P1800 as part of Volvo's half-centenary celebrations for the car. Unveiled during the #SwedeSpeak Twitter chat, Benjamin presented this future vision of the iconic sports car. Volvo states that Benjamin is a true admirer of the original P1800 and that these images are what he feels a modern-day interpretation could look like.
