Tool Number: J-34730-FF
Tool Name: Fuel Pressure Gauge
Applications: 1996\2000 s/t Truck with 2.2 L43/LNZ

1996\2000 FLEXIBLE FUEL S/T Truck with 2.2L L43/LNZ. Used to measure the fuel pressure of the supply system. Uses an alcohol-resistant gauge, lines, valves and fittings. The gasoline-only version J-34730-1A should not be used on flex-fuel systems as it can be damaged by alcohol, and mixed fuels. Connect the long hose of the pressure gauge assembly to the fuel pressure test fitting (schrader valve), located on the fuel rail between #3 and #4 injectors. Either start the engine, or use a scan tool to energize the fuel pump. Using the small petcock-valve, bleed off any air in the gauge hose. Observe the fuel system pressure while the fuel pump is running. After the fuel pump stops, monitor fuel pressure leakdown. Also use to obtain a fuel sample from the fuel rail for testing with the J-44175 Ethanol Fuel/Flex Fuel Sensor Tester, which is scheduled to ship in the spring of 2000. Use the alternative test procedure in the service manual until you receive J-44175. Notice: J-34730-FF can be used on both flexible and regular fuel systems.

Tool Number: J-37287-FF
Tool Name: SHUT OFF ADAPTER

J-37287-FF is used to isolate components or sections of the "wet" fuel system, to locate the component or fuel line causing the concern. This tool uses alcohol-resistant lines, valves, and fittings. Standard gasoline version can be damaged by mixed fuels.

The CR-Z is only a concept at the moment, but it’s been given the green light to go into production by Honda president and CEO Takeo Fukui, and what you see here is a very close representation of the finished article.

MINI owners paying TWICE for servicing

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Don’y pay to service your MINI twice MINI has been busy launching the New MINI of late, with the bigger – and some would say less ‘Mini’ MINI – now revealed in both regular 3-door and new 5-door guise, and many will be popping off to their local MINI showrooms to spec up their new car. And despite a headline starting price for the new MINI Hatch of just £13,750, many buyers will end up adding thousands to the cost once they’ve been tempted by the multitude of options on offer. But one option that’s a real no-brainer is the MINI TLC Pack.

Toyota drops plans for Electric Cars

Mon, 24 Sep 2012

Toyota has decided that there is little future for electric cars and has reigned in its plans to build battery electric vehicles. When you think of hybrid cars, you think of Toyota. But Toyota didn’t want to be left behind if battery electric cars strike a chord with buyers, so they were planning an extensive roll-out of the iQ EV – the Toyota eQ.
