DESCRIPTION: This is a NOS Fram PB 1/2 Sealed Can Oil Filter. It is painted Fram Orange which was factory colors for all vehicles prior to about the late 1950's. It was used for many years as factory equipment for Plymouth, Plymouth Truck, DeSoto, Dodge, Dodge Trucks, Kaiser, Crosley as well as some Farm Tractors and Industrial Engines. All engines that used a throw away filter. The filter is new, it is a Fram Brand. The box is in Average-Fair condition, it has minor scuffs, shelf wear, faded colors and the top flaps may be missing, or torn off. The paint on the element is good. The decal is in good condition.

It replaces Purolator PER 1/2, Wix WF 1/2, MPR 1/2, Hastings HD 1/2, Walker SU 3, NAPA 1035 and AC P21. The Mopar parts number at the time this was used as original was 861028. It also has several other Mopar and other original equipment parts numbers. NOTE: The photos are not the actual filter you will receive. I had a few of these and used one photo for all. THIS IS THE LAST ONE of the orginal Fram filters I have. I do have some different PB 1/2 style filters that I will list sometime in the distant future. I am presently working in my shop and do not have time to dig out new listings.

I do not know how many years this fits, so for search purposes I am including above, all years I find in the MOPAR parts book for various cars. It may fit Mopar 1926 through 1970, Also Crosley 1946, Kaiser 1946 through 1950, Packard used a similar filter made original by Purolator, it was a black painted filter that was a little more square around the top flange. There are possibly other uses not listed by name. You be the judge if you can use this.

Crash scams warning to drivers

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

MOTORISTS have been urged to be on the look-out for criminals staging crashes with their vehicles to make money out of insurance claims. Experts said Bradford and Birmingham were the most likely places for innocent drivers to be caught up in "Crash for Cash" scams but Bolton, Manchester, London, Liverpool and Halifax are also hotspots, and staged accidents can happen anywhere and any time. The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) and Crimestoppers appealed for information on those making bogus claims, in a crime that collectively costs policyholders more than £390 million every year.
