    Goodwood Moving Motor Show

    Now in its 18th year, the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed (which runs over the coming weekend of the 2 to 4 July) this year adds an extra day prior to the main event, billed as the Moving Motor Show. Designed partially as a replacement for the British Motor Show, which was last held at London's Excel exhibition centre in 2008, the Moving Motor Show allows some 2000 members of the public to drive recent new cars from 22 manufacturers up Goodwood's famous hill climb course. This development fits well with recent trends.

    McLaren P1 (2013) official performance figures announced

    McLaren has finally revealed the price and performance figures for its P1 supercar. The hybrid P1 will launch from 0-62mph in less than three seconds, hit 124mph in under seven seconds, and reach 186mph in around 17 seconds, according to McLaren's official figures. The P1's top speed is electronically limited to 217mph.

    The Volvo V40 Cross Country gets the new T5 Drive-E engine Volvo are on something of a roll at the moment, what with the impressive 2015 XC90 on the way and the very convincing range of Drive-E engines rolling out across their range. And the Drive-E engines really are good; we had one in recently (review to come soon) and the new D4 in the S60 is quick, frugal, quiet and, really, on a par with the best diesels from BMW. And we don’t say that lightly.
