What your will receive is a REPAIR KIT THAT WORKS AND IS EASY TO INSTALL.

Complete with easy to read and follow instructions. That fixes (both passenger's and Driver's side).

Provisional Utility Patent 62326481

You are paying for not only the raw materials to produce this repair kit. Research and Development, Labor, EBAY fees, PAYPAL fees, shipping and handling fees, etc.
You will receive a Patented Applied for ( which was very time consuming and expensive for me to obtain) - means and material to reconnect your small covers/flaps to your larger panels. This repair give the ACURATE TENSION for the flaps to stay closed while driving when the top is down and NOT too much tension to interfere with the mechanical mechanism when opening or closing the top.

This kit has large type easy to read and follow instructions.

The resilient flexible material is designed to be stretched 1000's of times and retain the tension to return to proper position.

My actual cost for the tape is $4,350.00 per case, and was specifically developed to adhere MB type plastic to the resilient stretchable material used in my repair kit.

The tape is designed to adhere to the MB plastic only after the plastic has been completely cleaned with alcohol ( I recommend cleaning 3 times to make sure).
Also, the tape is pressure and time sensitive. Therefore, press firmly and wait a minimum of 20 minutes before using.

This repair WORKS and is a simple easy to install repair. The repair kit was very expensive and time consuming for me to developers and go through the patent process. This is a very simple fix. Very economical product and easy to install.  I HAD MY 13 YEAR OLD GRANDSON ( now 17 years ) INSTALL my passenger side which had spring intact but some plastic tabs were partially broken off. Works perfect for over 4 years now.  I HAVE HAD ELDERLY MEN AND WOMEN PURCHASE and INSTALL THE FIX, AND have informed me THAT IT WAS EASY to INSTALL AND WORKS.

NONE THE LESS, IF YOU DO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH INSTALLING THE REPAIR, THEN CONTACT ME AND I WILL TRY TO HELP.

Please note this repair kit does not include the small cover/flap, so you must use you own. It does reconnect your small cover to your larger panel. But, there must be enough of the three tabs left on your large panel to keep the hinge pin from raising up when tension pulls the flap closed (i.e. although all three of the hinge pin hole can be partially broken off, of the 360 degree hole there must be a minimum of 160 degrees remaining).

In addition to this product, do expect to have the replacement small Flap/Covers for purchase by September (NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING).

This repair kit works excellent and is very easy to install. It reconnects the your flap to the panel with just enough tension with or without your original spring intact to hold the flap down while driving. And not too much tension to interfere with the mechanics of the top closing.

I do NOT know if you can see from the photos that I sent you but my Driver's side small plastic cover is broken where the torsion spring tension connected in addition to all three hinge areas on the larger panel are broken to the extent that the flap can be removed. This repair kit have worked perfect for me on this side for over 4 years also.

HOWEVER, BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW YOU INDIVIDUAL ABILITIES, ITEM IS sold with a NO REFUND and  NO RETURNS policy. Nonetheless, if you do have a problem with installation then email me and I will be happy to help you.

This SPANGLER REPAIR KIT is for all 2003 - 2011 Mercedes-Benz SL R230 REAR LEFT AND RIGHT EDGE COVER TRIM PANEL to fix Boot Flap broken spring hinge. 2306901141 2306901241. This listing includes the fix both driver's and passenger's side.

I recommend installing on both right and left sides (both are included in one kit), even if only one side is BROKEN, NOT BROKEN WHATSOEVER, or PARTIALLY BROKEN.  This repair kit is for all of the above situations .

I also recommend that you install this fix on a USED replacement panel to aid in preventing that from failing in near future.

PLEASE CHECK my FEEDBACK.

If you any problem or recommendations with installation or operation of this repair kit, then email me and I will be happy to try to help you.

NOTE: Before installing, make sure your Mercedes-Benz plastic parts do NOT have "Armor all",  grease, oil, etc. that would interfere with adhesive.

You can test your plastic flap by seeing if ordinary tape adheres to it prior to beginning installation. Some purchasers lightly wipe with acetone or fingernail polish remover prior to installation.

Thanks,

JERRY SPANGLER

CDN-GM Interactive Design Contest 2013 winners announced

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

In early December, the finalist entries from the CDN/GM Interactive Design Competition were put in front of the panel of judges from General Motors and Car Design News to determine the four winners of this year's internships with GM. This year, once again, the level of work was exceptional and made for a very difficult selection. We also saw the largest number of participants and entries ever, raising the stakes of an already highly competitive field.

Seat Leon [w/Gallery]

Mon, 16 Jul 2012

This is the all-new, third-generation Seat Leon C-segment hatchback. At 4,2600mm long, the 2013 Leon is approximately 50mm shorter than the previous model although the wheelbase has increased by almost 60mm, reducing the length of the overhangs and improving interior space, particularly for rear seat passengers and luggage compartment. Seat's latest design language can be seen in the angular headlamps featuring full LED lamps for the first time in this class.

Keep Cruisin', Marv Spector

For the last 30 years or so, you could belly up to the service counter at Specter Off Road in scorching Chatsworth, Calif., deep in the Valley, underneath the red-and-white arrow that stretches the length of the squat stucco building. You'd first have to stroll past the long and dark row of dizzying Toyota Land Cruisers -- Japanese fire trucks, FJ60s with roof-mounted machine guns and a propane-powered 1973 Baja 1000 champion. Past the glass cases of old photos and model kits and RC cars from Japan.
