This listing is for a Telex Airman 750 Headset with GA Dual Plugs. The Airman 750 headset is the best-selling lightweight headset in the world. Weighing in at only 3.2 ounces, this headset is standard equipment on more than 70 percent of commercial airframes. The Airman 750 features an amplified noise canceling electret mic for crystal clear voice transmission. A flexible boom allows microphone adjustment to preferred side, and the adjustable stainless steel headband make the Telex Airman 750 comfortable even on the longest flights. FAA TSO C57a & C58a approved.
The headset is used, in excellent condition. A zippered storage bag is also included.
Design Features...
Headphones
This unit feature open-air style earphones for long-term, fatigue-free
usage. The earphone housings are mounted on stainless steel sliders
which permit over two (2) inches (55mm) of fitting adjustment. The
ear cushions are removable for easy field replacement.
Microphone
The Airman 750 Headset features a miniatures, amplified, noisecanceling electret microphone that provides superior 400Hz hum
rejection. The microphone boom is flexible for optimum microphone
placement, and it is reversible for wearing on either side of the head.
For best results, the microphone should be positioned as close to the
mouth as possible. A position at one side of the mouth is best to
minimize popping, hissing, and breathing sounds when speaking.
The microphone amplifier is contained in the boom-side earphone
housing. The amplifier has an adjustable gain control and provides
output levels equivalent to carbon microphone levels. (Adjustment by
a qualified avionics technician is recommended.)

Maybach is dead - Zetsche closes Merc's upmarket wing
Fri, 25 Nov 2011Daimler is to announce the closure of Maybach, marking the failure of its upmarket division resurrected to battle BMW's Rolls-Royce and VW's Bentley subsidiaries. Chief exec Dieter Zetsche will tomorrow (Saturday 26 November) announce he's lost patience with Maybach in an interview with a weekend newspaper in Germany. No more Maybachs will be developed and stocks will deplete by later in 2012.
Old distractions as bad as new tech

Adult passengers, twiddling with the radio and children in the car were the main distractions causing either a near-miss or an accident, the poll of more than 18,000 motorists found.
