We recently purchased the contents of a barn from a life long collector of vintage car parts.  Check out our other auctions and "The Old Car Parts Store" for similar items that have been in storage for the past 40+ years.

Here is a VINTAGE 1915 HAND KLAXTONET HORN - SERIAL # 14870.  It is in good to good+ used condition.  The main flaws include some paint loss on the snout and neck end of the unit and some surface rust here and there throughout on the housing / motor end.  The horn does work and makes great noise but has a slight catch that requires a bit of effort or a bump / push to get it going (minor).  There are only two very mild dings that are barely noticeable even upon close inspection (amazing for a piece of this age).  Overall, a nice vintage horn that is complete and functional.  Please check out the pictures and email us with questions before bidding.  Professional packaging guaranteed (see our feedback).  Bid with confidence and good luck.

McLaren F1 GTR Longtail (pictured) sells at Gooding & Co for $5.28 million Even with the arrival of the new McLaren P1, the ultimate supercar is still the McLaren F1. The McLaren F1 is one of rarest of the more modern supercars, and McLaren produced just 64 road going F1s in addition to a number of racing versions, with the F1 GTR Longtail the last, and rarest, of the breed. So the arrival of a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail on the auction block at Gooding & Co’s sale in Scottsdale raised expectations of a possible record-breaking price for the GTR Longtail, with pre-sale estimates putting the price between $5 and $7 million.

Team Lotus buys Caterham Cars - and a Team Lotus Special Edition Seven to celebrate Team Lotus – that’s the ‘Lotus’ F1 run by Tony Fernandes, not the Hethel mob run by Dany Bahar – has bought Caterham Cars from Corven Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Which is all very apposite, what with Caterham being the spiritual home of Colin Chapman’s Lotus Seven and keeper of the Chapman ethos of lighter is better. To tie Caterham back in to the Lotus name could work wonders for sales.
