Old Silvertrol Electric Trolling Motor. Made by the Silver Creek Precision Corp. in Silver Creek New York. Motor runs great. It will run on 6 or12 volts. It does have some scrapes and scratches from use. One of the stickers on the side of the head has some tearing. The locking bolt on the tilt mechanism doesn't tighten up. It apparently has the threads stripped out. This doesn't affect the use of the motor, as there is an adjustable stop that lets you set the desired depth of the motor. One of the tips on the propeller has been broken off. All of this is shown in photos.This motor has 3 speeds for both 6 and 12 volts. It doesn't display pounds of thrust, but does tell you the RPM's--If hooked up to 6 volts the motor would turn at 175 rpm's on low, 325 rpm's on medium, and 420 rpm's on high. If hooked up to a 12 volt system it would turn at 475 rpm's on low, 700 rpm's on medium, and 850 rpm's on high. All of this is shown on the side of the control head. This is an old motor, and it is pretty heavy. It weighs right at 25 lbs. without any packaging. Volvo Concept You - Volvo's future direction We have to confess that we weren’t huge fans of the Volvo Concept Universe at Shanghai this year, but the Frankfurt offering – the Volvo Concept You – is more convincing. The Concept Universe at Shanghai was just a bit too much ‘East meets West’ in design, with the feeling that it was just not quite the right direction for a new, more upmarket Volvo to follow. But the Concept You is more convincing.

RenaultSport Clio 200: Paris 2012

Renault has unveiled the Clio RenaultSport 200 at the Paris Motor Show with a 1.6 litre turbo engine delivering 200bhp. The latest version of the Clio RS forgoes its naturally aspirated 2.0 litre engine for a turbo 1.6 litre delivering the same 200bhp but more torque – up more than 10 per cent. What dropping the 1.6 turbo has done to the Clio is make it more economical – Renault say it is 25 per cent more fuel efficient and, obviously, emissions drop comparably.

Tokyo Motor Show: Mini appears across the globe

Both the modern Mini, and before it the original Issigonis Mini, are extremely popular in Japan where its strong British identity and high degree of personalisation hold strong appeal.
