Vintage Simpson 2-piece fire suit. Heavy weight suit. Shows some usual wear and stains. Most likely does not meet current safety specs but would be great for a display. Looks like there was custom stitching over the jacket chest pocket "The Mad Polack" and the number 49(?). The size is not stated but it looks like it would be a size large. See photos for details. Tue, 21 Aug 2012Cadillac teased a new concept car at the weekend at Pebble Beach to be unveiled in the steel at an unnamed American auto show early next year. We'll see you on the GM stand in Detroit then. During a press event Cadillac's Global Design Director Clay Dean said it was time for the brand to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time." There were no further details about what we can expect from the concept but from what we can see from these renders is what appears to be a further move away from the geometry of the Art and Science form language towards a more sculptural surface treatment intersected by sharp, precise creases.
Vette plant to build high-performance engines
Wed, 30 Jan 2013General Motors is moving its Performance Build Center, which let enthusiasts pay $5,000-plus to build the high-performance engine for their Chevrolet Corvette, from Michigan to the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green, Ky. The move is expected to be completed by spring 2014. It will let a Corvette buyer build his own engine, with help from a GM technician, and then see it installed in his car as it goes down the Bowling Green assembly line.

There’s been some talk about a Baby Saab – the Saab 9-2 – which will use a BMW/MINI Chassis and we’ve heard a whisper or three about something ‘Sporty’ at the Geneva Motor Motor Show in March.
