Weston Fifth Wheel
for Testing / Calibration of Speedometer, Distance, etc.
Unit was used at Chrysler Engineering then at Specialty Vehicles Inc. until the past year.  Specialty Vehicles used it for testing Saleen manufactured performance cars.
Sensor is from the 1960's but they have not changed since then.
This sensor was tested and is WORKING.  It comes with quite a few brackets for attaching to back bumpers, chassis, etc. Almost always have to make an intermediate bracket.  Below picture of one of these from today.  They perform the same way.  Technology has not changed.  The B/W photo in the above is of the exact Weston unit that I am selling from the late 60's.

These use a spring on the bracket to keep a down force applied to the wheel to maintain best contact with the ground.

The Fifth Wheel will come packed in the original wooden crate.  It will ship freight due to size weight.  approx 125 # and 17" x 30" x 47" also in photos.
