'Ender's Game' Audi fleet shuttle quattro concept development revealed [w/Video]
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Audi has released a short video and pictures exploring the development of the fleet shuttle quattro from the new sci-fi blockbuster 'Ender's Game'. The concept, presented as a 1:4 illuminated scale model at the movie's premiere at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, was first announced in August and is Audi's first car completely designed on a computer. During filming the actors drove an Audi A7 Sportback before Digital Domain – responsible for the film's special effects – used computer-generated imagery to transform it into the digital fleet shuttle Quattro in post-production.
Honda designers talk about Tokyo concepts
Tue, 13 Dec 2011With the Tokyo motor show now firmly in our rear view mirrors, Honda has made us aware of a new addition to its website that highlights the numerous concepts the Japanese company had on show at the exhibition. Answering the question: ‘ What makes people feel good?' Honda designers take us through each of the seven concepts showcased at the Tokyo show, including the RC-E electric motorcycle; E-Canopy three-wheeled scooter; MotorCompo folding scooter; TownWalker mobility vehicle; AC-X show car; Micro Commuter Concept and the EV-Ster electric roadster. The background story on these mobility concepts and vehicles - all told by some of the designers responsible for the projects - can be viewed by clicking on a tab available on the page.

As always, there was a great mix of styles, from hard-core, 1,000-hp, supertuned machinery to weird customized scooter tricycles. Auto manufacturers tried hard to capture the minds--if not the wallets--of the younger-than-30 crowd with customized versions of production cars, while tuners were busy persuading power junkies to choose them for their next engine modification.
