BTCC stars arrive at race meet... with a race-insipred caravan

BRITISH Touring Car stars Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden arrived at their most recent race weekend with something a bit out of the ordinary in tow. The pair arrived in a Honda Civic Tourer, liveried up to look just like the racing versions the pair are more used to thrashing around. What’s more, they were towing a caravan just as covered in Honda Yuasa Racing graphics as the car, having meandered across the country stopping only for picnics and barbecues – although they did enjoy a spot of mountain biking too.

Car manufacturing halted in Japan

Nissan cars awaiting export wrecked by Tsunami In the wake of the devastating earthquake and Tsunami that struck Japan last week, the domestic car industry has ground to a halt. Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi have all now said they are halting all production until at least Wednesday in order to allow time to address damage, and to allow staff to make contact with family in affected areas. Kia Provo upsets Northern Ireland

The Kia Provo Concept for a funky urban car has run in to trouble in Northern Ireland as its name evokes the Troubles. Looking like a Kia take on the Juke – although we think Kia see it more as a take on the MINi Countryman / MINI Paceman – it looks like a perfect direction for Kia to take with a ready market for butch little cars for blatting round town growing all the time. But you can’t please all the people all the time, and Kia has run in to trouble with the Provo already, as Unionist MPs in Northern Ireland have taken exception to the name.
