THIS IS A COMPLETELY REBUILT 28-29 and early 30 MODEL A FORD STEWART - WARNER SPEEDOMETER. THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY STRIPED DOWN AN REBUILT WITH PROFESSION. IT WAS CLEANED,LUBED,AN THEN CAREFULLY REBUILD WITH NEW ORIGINAL LOOKING NUMBERS, THEN RESET TO ALL "0" THE RIGHT WAY. HAS A NEW FACE PLATE, NEW LENS & SEAL, AN A NEW NICKEL BEZEL. HAS  BEEN CALIBRATED AT 25-35-40-50 AND 60 mph THEN BENCH TESTED. ONE MILE WAS PUT ON THE SPEEDOMETER FOR TESTING AFTER BEING PUT BACK TOGETHER THEN I RETURNED BACK TO ALL "0". Land Rover has resurrected the Black & White Limited Edition outing for the 2013 Freelander 2 with extra kit on a Freelander S for a 600 run. Land Rover does like to divvy up a special edition at the end of the year to give car sales a bit of New Year impetus (and, if Land Rover’s recent sales figures are anything to go by, it certainly works), and this year we get the Land Rover Freelander Black & white Edition. Again.

The latest Toyota GT 86 by Gazoo Racing – the GRMN Sports FR Platinum Concept - has been revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. The most interesting is a GT86 that comes from Gazoo Racing – a part of Toyota – which was teased last week and gets the same sort of power upgrades as the Gazoo GT86 we saw turn up at Le Mans and Goodwood last year – the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum. The GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum gets a new front bumper and headlights with air vents on the bonnet, new back bumper and tail lights and a thumping great wing on the back.

Volvo City Safe means lower insurance preniums for Volvo drivers

Volvo’s City safe has reduced insurance premiums for Volvo owners Volvo are on a mission to ensure that no one dies or is seriously injured in a Volvo by 2020, and that means more and more clever technology to protect Volvo drivers from the dangers of driving. One of those technologies is Volvo’s City Safe, a low speed (up to 31mph) collision avoidance system, that uses a laser at the top of the windscreen to monitor traffic and will automatically brake the car if its senses no reaction from the driver when a collision is imminent. So good is City Safe that Thatcham – the people who set insurance groups for cars – has decided Volvos fitted with City Safe should be rated in a lower group.
