This is a Vintage Oil Fill Cap / Breather Element in its original box tventidk1989sweetventidk1989sweetventidk1989sweetventidk1989 this is the cap your car rolled off the assembly line with. (subject to your cars year) It is all New ‘NOS’, and has never been used!!  

 

They have been out of production for many years and are harder and harder to locate. This Fill Cap has been indoors, in dry storage, & sealed in its box for the last 43+ years, (see photos of date code)entidk1989sweetventidk1989sweetventidk1989swe‘NOS’ entidk1989sweetventidk1989sweetventidk1989s it don't get better than this!!! box date coded 1972

I have a couple of these in stock. The boxes, which house the Breather Cap, may show typical or various signs of shelf wear, natural aging or factory production / handling marks, as it is a paper product.  This particular Oil Fill Cap has some tiny scratches. This is how it came from the AC factory (please see all the photos and use the zoom feature)

I had (5) of these and none were produced 100% perfect.

The Ecology Center released its fourth consumer guide to toxic chemicals last week, and the news is better. The amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in new cars has decreased, but we still have a ways to go. VOCs in plastics and flame retardants have been linked to a variety of acute and long-term health concerns.

Tokyo has hosted the first of what it hopes will become the Japanese equivalent of America's Pebble Beach and Italy's Villa D'Este. Held at the plush Tokyo Midtown shopping mall/commercial complex, the Tokyo Concours D'Elegance was initiated by enthusiast Paul Goldsmith and coincided with the first public days of the Tokyo Motor Show - though regrettably also with a typhoon, forcing organisers to cover the cars on the lawns, which were ultimately closed due to flooding. Fortunately, the exhibition had been split between in- and outdoors, and while the weather lashed out at those braving the winds, there were still some interesting displays for those wishing to remain dry.
