Jaguar F-Type fleet in Union Jack livery promote ‘Best of British’
Mon, 12 Aug 2013A fleet of ‘Union Jack’ Jaguar F-Types (pictured) are touring the UK It all started with Top Gear’s ‘Best of British’ line-up of all things British Automotive on the Mall back in June, which aired a week ago as the finale to Series 20 of Top Gear. That piece was put together on the back of Top Gear’s testing of the new Range Rover Sport and the new Jaguar F-Type, with Top Gear managing to drag all manner of motorised vehicles to the Mall to celebrate proper British success. With the Jaguar F-Types sitting proudly at the front of the assembled ‘Best of British’, Jaguar’s PR machine wisely decided there was mileage in the whole ‘Best of British’ thing, so they’ve launched a competition with the hashtag #YourTurnBritain.

Opel leaving China, but planning a car for the US
Mon, 31 Mar 2014General Motors' Opel is withdrawing from China after several years of declining sales, with the last vehicles slated to be exported from Germany in January 2015. Opel managed to sell only 4,365 cars in China in all of 2013, compared to a staggering 810,000 Buicks, GM's most popular division in China. The lackluster sales and the planned withdrawal from China highlighted the unique demands of the Chinese domestic market, where Buick now offers almost twice the number of models as in the U.S.
