Firts we had Ron Dennis telling anyone who’d listen – quite rightly – that the showdown Top Gear staged between the Mac and the Bug had to be re-run repeatedly until the Bug actually won, but Ron being Ron had to go a step further and proclaim the Veyron a ‘Piece of Junk’. The start of the Australian Grand Prix Melbourne-2010 We started to get gripes at the end of last year’s F1 season that our headlines on Grand Prix results gave the game away. Not an overwhelming number of emails – just a steady trickle. But we got loads after our Ferrari One-Two at Bahrain headline at the first F1 Grand Prix of the season, so we’re going to obfuscate the headlines and the sub-header this year, so all of you who’ve stuck the race on Sky+ don’t get it spoilt.

Italian supercar makers halt production after second earthquake

Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini on Tuesday suspended production after an earthquake killed at least 10 people in northern Italy where their factories are located. The three luxury sports car makers said their factories were not damaged in the quake but they had sent workers home. "All the workers and employees have been allowed to join their families" Ferrari said on its Twitter account.
