Chevrolet Aveo 5dr (2011) first official pictures
Thu, 30 Sep 2010Following the Aveo RS concept’s appearance at Detroit eight months earlier, Chevrolet has revealed the new Aveo at the 2010 Paris motor show. It’s a homegrown model this time, too, replacing the rebodied Daewoo original of 2008. The supermini takes on the aggressive family face deployed so strikingly on Chevy’s tiny Spark and compact Cruze, and there are shake-ups in the engine and transmission departments, too.
Wet n' Wild Woodward
Sat, 21 Aug 2010Rain-soaked Woodward Avenue welcomed thousands of cruisers and car enthusiasts for the 16th annual Dream Cruise on a wet Saturday just north of Detroit. Though the weather didn't cooperate for much of the day with rain ranging from a mist to steady showers, it failed to dampen the spirits of car fans for all over. As usual, Mustangs, Corvettes and Challengers took center stage on the iconic strip, which plays host to the yearly summer celebration of chrome and fins.
Bahrain Grand Prix Cancelled – revealed on Twitter
Mon, 21 Feb 20112011 Bahrain Grand Prix Cancelled Bernie Ecclestone said the cancellation or not of this season’s F1 opener in Bahrain would be down to Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who was in the best place to judge. But it was actually the Bahrain State’s Information Affairs Authority who made the announcement this afternoon that this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix – due to be staged at the Bahrain International Circuit on March 13th – would not go ahead. The announcement said that “Bahrain’s priority is on overcoming tragedy, healing divisions, and rediscovering the fabric that draws this country together.” Which seems a great deal more important than a bunch of rich guys driving round in circles for the world’s entertainment.
