Holy Auction Prices! Batman’s Batmobile sells for $4.2 million

The Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward, has sold for $4.2 million at auction. For those of us of a certain age, the Batmobile from the original Batman TV series of the 1960s is the only Batmobile, and probably the first time we saw a car being the star of a TV show. Starring Adam West and Burt Ward, the Batman TV series was tongue in cheek and full of on-screen graphics like POW, WHAM and THWACK as Batman and Robin took on the bad guys.

The Roewe 350 is the first model built atop parent company SAIC's new A-class platform. At first sight, there appears considerable overlap with this latest model and the Roewe 550, but the 350's 2650mm wheelbase and overall length of 4521mm is roughly 100mm shorter than the 550. Goodwood FoS: Peugeot EX1 concept

It's not very often that I'm up at six o'clock on a Saturday morning. Yet here I am, threading through the narrow lanes of West Sussex, trying to meet a ridiculously early call time with Peugeot at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Couple this with the adrenalin coursing through my veins – brought on by the excitement of finally getting a ride up the drive in front of Goodwood's house, home each year to the Festival of Speed – and there's no need for any coffee to wake me up this morning.
