Suzuki Swift Sport
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Suzuki has launched the new Swift Sport. Based on the third generation Swift, the new Swift Sport is the first full model change since the launch of the original car in 2006. Previewed by the Suzuki S-Concept unveiled at the 2011 Australian motor show, the new Swift Sport measures in at 3890mm long, 1695mm wide and 1510mm tall.
Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato (2011) at Geneva motor show
Thu, 03 Mar 2011Fiat surprised the Geneva audience with a Zagato-bodied variation on the familiar new 500 theme. Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato: an Italian Mini Coupe rival With Mini branching out in all different directions and Citroen growing its DS brand, it was perhaps inevitable that Fiat would try new things with the 500. It looks strikingly different at first sight, but the Coupe Zagato is based on the existing 500 platform. The differences mainly concern a modified lower roofline, bearing the traditional Zagato double-hump roof contours and rear window/C-pillar treatment. The standard 500 interior has been retrimmed in black and yellow leather to match the ‘Pop Yellow’ exterior hue.
CAR interviews Porsche's R&D boss Wolfgang Durheimer (2011)
Tue, 01 Feb 2011Dr Wolfgang Durheimer starts his new job today; previously Porsche’s R&D chief, Dr Durheimer takes up his post as boss of Bentley and Bugatti on 1 February 2011. Just before he left Porsche, CAR caught up with Dr Durheimer to discover the future he’s leaving behind at the German sports car manufacturer. Dr Durheimer begain his career in the auto industry in 1986, working for BMW as a product manager, product development boss for the Motorrad division, and then as R&D boss.
