Dealers' clunkers filing deadline extended
Tue, 25 Aug 2009The Transportation Department has extended the cash-for-clunkers filing deadline again, to 8 p.m. EDT tonight after reporting that its computer system for dealers "has been fully operational overnight." In an e-mail to the National Automobile Dealers Association that was confirmed by Transportation spokeswoman Jill Zuckman, the Obama administration said, "The system will be closed to new submissions" after 8 p.m. It was the second deadline extension since last Thursday because of Transportation's computer outages.
CDN and GM launch new interactive competition for students in North America

GM is offering five students a paid internship (with housing included) at its studios in Warren, Michigan. One winner will be picked from each brand (Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC) and one additional overall winner will also be chosen by the judges.

A 1988 Lamborghini Countach, actually made by Lamborghini of Italy in 1988 (at the Lamborghini factory) has been neglected like the Trans Am that's been sitting in your uncle's shed since the Carter administration. We're pretty sure there's a scary story about how this Countach ended up this way, but we're not sure we want to hear it -- it'll be too depressing.
