Produced in association with la famosa carrozzeria Touring, it’s like Mini’s found Doc Brown’s time machine and headed back to the Swinging Sixties. But fast forward a year or two and CAR can reveal that BMW is seriously considering launching a cute little roadster in line with what you see here.

Don’t panic yet, though, as there are still two more episodes to go, but they will be the two parts of a Top Gear special to Africa to find the source of the Nile.

Regular Top Gear watchers will be all too aware that Pendine Sands in Wales offers some spectacular driving prospects. Or at least it does if you have a couple of willing chaps with spades and a Range Rover ready to dig you out when you inevitably get stuck.
