Call for Entries: Nissan Design Europe 'East meets West' exhibition
Fri, 31 Jul 2009Nissan Design Europe has announced that it will be participating to the 2009 London Design Festival, but the Japanese automaker will not be showing a new vehicle. From September 23rd to the 25th, Nissan Design Europe will open its doors and become a creative hub hosting arts and design displays and seminars as well as leading a series of tours of the facility. Under the theme of 'East meets West: the cultural crossroads of creativity', the exhibition aims to celebrate the cross-pollination of creative industries in London, and the Japanese automaker will open some areas of its Paddington-based design studio for installations from other artists and designers.
In-car DAB digital overtakes analogue radio
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Digital Radio UK has delved into CAP and SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) data, and found that DAB is now standard equipment on more new cars than analogue-only radio. As of April 2014, 55% of all new cars come with DAB digital radio as standard. Wed, 13 Oct 2010The Chrysler 200C - replacement for the Sebring Although the Chrysler Sebring is a car you can actually pop off to your dealer and buy in the UK, a chunk of readers on this side of the Pond will know it best from trips to the US as the ugly lump of iron they got lumbered with at the car rental desk. The Sebring was unloved by car hacks and the motoring public alike; it mixed poor design with poor looks, a poor drive and a poor interior to make for less than dynamic sales. So when Chrysler tipped up to the Detroit Motor Show in 2009 with a 200C Concept it seemed clear that was what was coming to oust the Sebring.
