In-car DAB digital overtakes analogue radio
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Digital Radio UK has delved into CAP and SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) data, and found that DAB is now standard equipment on more new cars than analogue-only radio. As of April 2014, 55% of all new cars come with DAB digital radio as standard. Thu, 01 Mar 2012Audi has revealed details of seven new innovations being explored by its designers and engineers including electromobility, ultra-lightweight construction, networked mobility and lighting technology. Lighting design The team in charge of lighting design – an area in which the company is the current leader in terms of LED daytime running lights and headlights – and next up they plan on introducing OLED technology (Organic Light Emitting Diode) to its vehicle range. Only a few nanometers thick, this paste-like material spans the space between the anode and cathode, both of which are enveloped in an electrically conductive coating.

Wed, 05 Feb 2014The 2014 Citroen C4 Cactus has been revealed ahead of the car's official debut at the Geneva motor show next month. The all-new model is the first in Citroen's new C-Line model range and introduces a world-first, in the form of 'Airbump' - air-filled plastic panels at the front, rear and sides of the car which are designed to protect the bodywork from minor bumps and scrapes . The C4 Cactus production car closely resembles the stiking concept car of the same name that was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show and it will be one of the most distinctive cars on the road when it goes on sale in the UK in October.
