Help

Parts Grading: A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

A Grade - The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.
B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.
C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.
TMU - Some vehicles have damaged instrument clusters and the mileage cannot be determined. This will be noted with "TMU" (True Mileage Unknown) in the part description.

To learn more about Parts Grading click here.

Part Category: A category is a way of classifying a part in inventory. The category appears as a one-letter abbreviation under Part Detail. A category is a way to identify a part by location or condition, and helps to indicate whether a part needs to be pulled and prepped before shipping.

Standard Part Categories include:

Part Category    Description    Definition
U Unbolted Used part, loose and unbolted from vehicle.
Y Yard Used part, still on vehicle.
R Rebuilt Used part that is rebuilt or reconditioned.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 actually gets 650 bhp and 650 lb/ft of torque

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible (pictured) gets 650 bhp The American are found of telling us there’s no substitute for cubic inches, but throw in a supercharger to the equation and numbers become even more appealing, and more linear than a turbo too. So the fact the 6.2 litre V8 under the bonnet of the new Corvette Z06 already manages 465 bhp in naturally aspirated guise, it wasn’t a stretch when the car world was expecting around 625 bhp when Chevrolet finally revealed the power for the Z06. But it’s more.

Aston Martin Rapide – Official Valencia video

Sat, 20 Feb 2010

We have official video of the Aston Martin Rapide from Valencia Back at the start of February Aston Martin flew the world’s media to Valencia to party with the new Aston Martin Rapide. Even though Cars UK didn’t get an invite we decided to shove up a review of the Rapide covering what we knew from all the bumph Aston Martin had sent us and the opinions we’d formed from seeing the car. It wasn’t sour grapes – although it would have been nice to be asked – but looking at the reviews written by those who went on the ‘Jolly’ we were pretty much on the money.
