Carried out on the 3.2-mile Space Shuttle landing strip at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, the Venom GT eclipsed the former fastest car in the world’s record, the 267.86mph Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport will cost from £59,465 and gets a chunk more kit than the outgoing GL. That includes Intelligent Light System, bi-xenons, LED daytime lights, AMG body styling, 21″ AMG alloys, Privacy, electric glass roof, AirMATIC, Parktronic with Park Assist, COMAND and DAB radio.
