Lightweight and flexible, it provides protection from abrasions and is crush resistance. Split-loom design makes installation easy. Manufactured from impact modified, heat stabilized Nylon 6, it offers high temperature resistance. Beware of cheap "Poly" wire loom Don't make the mistake of using cheap polyethylene (poly) wire loom under the hood of your car or truck. Polyethylene is not rated for high temperatures and does not meet automotive specifications. The wire loom in this listing is Nylon, and is made for the high temperatures of your engine bay. High Temp Nylon wire loom Features Perfect for use on automotives, Nylon loom is a split tubing manufactured from Nylon 6, an impact modified, heat stabilized material which withstands the extreme temperatures of engines and other heat-generating components. This heat rating is based on a 3,000 hour continuous heat age; essentially, the tubing can be placed near the vehicle engine, and the vehicle could travel at 60 miles per hour for 3,000 continuous hours (180,000 miles) before any material deterioration occurs Nylon loom has a "Continuous Use" rating of 125° C (257° F) and a "Maximum Temperature" rating of 175° C (347° F). Nylon loom can withstand almost any temperature produced in the engine compartment of a vehicle. Under unusually blue skies and warm temperatures, the sunscreened faithful ogled a varied and eclectic lineup, from Ferraris and Porsches to the Ford tractor owned by Carroll Shelby's doctor. 2013 Aston Martin DB9 – Virage Vanquished
Wed, 19 Sep 2012Aston Martin has given the DB9 a makeover – a facelift and a bit more – for 2013 as the tweaked DB9 signals the end of the Virage. But all is not lost with the Virage, as the 2013 DB9 gets a Virage makeover – inside and out as well as more power from its V12 and the addition of Aston Martin’s adaptive damping. The 5.9 litre V12 engine under the new DB9′s bonnet now offers 510bhp and 442lb/ft of torque – more than the Virage managed to muster – and is much the same as the revised AM11 V12 we see in the new Vanquish but with a bit less power.
