 ABOUT OUR WHEEL QUALITY RATINGS

Please keep in mind that pre-owned/used wheels and tires are never perfect and that describing each imperfection is not possible. The categories below are therefore SUBJECTIVE and are intended to provide the buyer with a GENERAL QUALITY RATING upon which to make sound market comparisons and an educated purchasing decision. Please also note that we list all product as "Used" including wheels which may or may not have been repainted or refinished. As with all reconditioned merchandise, every effort is made to match Original Equipment manufacture specifications, but we can not guarantee exact color matching for any existing wheel etc. Each wheel listed is professionally inspected and deemed to be safe and serviceable for our end user.

WHEEL - VERY GOOD USED (A): Wheel appears in As New to Excellent condition at a short distance such as a typical take-off wheel. Please keep in mind that wheel may display some minor imperfection upon close inspection, including: light scratching, scuffing, nick and/or abrasion from road incident or warehouse mishandling, clear coat imperfection, brake dust, mounting residue at flange, wheel weight mark and etc. (RULE OF THUMB: If it's not visible in the picture - it won't be visible mounted on the vehicle).

WHEEL - GOOD USED (B): Despite showing some degree of noticeable imperfection as described above, which may also include some curb damage (to be pictured in listing), wheel appears in generally nice condition and finish upon casual inspection.

WHEEL - USED (C): Wheel displays visible signs of cosmetic imperfection - but has passed inspection and is deemed a safe and serviceable wheel. Refinishing is available upon request.

ABOUT OUR USED TIRE QUALITY RATINGS

TIRE - EXCELLENT USED: Tire is in 'As New' or Take-Off (less than 500 miles driven) condition.

TIRE - VERY GOOD USED: Tire has between 8/32's to 10+/32's tread depth, measured at its deepest point, displays generally even tread wear across the tire surface, shows little to no chopping or blemishing, and is free of plug and or patch.

TIRE - GOOD USED: Tire has between 6/32's to 8/32's tread depth, measured at its deepest point, displays generally even tread wear across the tire surface and is free of plug and or patch. Alternately: Tire has 8/32's or above tread depth, measured at it's deepest point, but may display some uneven tread wear across the tire surface, chopping, blemishing, and/or has received one professionally installed patch  (as designated in the listing and pictured) which is determined to be located sufficiently within the center of the tread pattern (not at sidewall) and tested for integrity.

TIRE - USED: Tire has 5/32's or less tread depth, measured at its deepest point, displays generally even tread wear and is free of plug and or patch. Alternately: Tire has 7/32's or below tread depth, measured at its deepest point, displays uneven tread wear across the tire surface, chopping, blemishing, and/or has received one professionally installed patch (as designated in the listing and pictured) which is determined to be located sufficiently within the center of the tread pattern (not at sidewall) and tested for integrity.

ABOUT TREAD DEPTH: We encourage all buyers to familiarize themselves with Tread Depth prior to purchase. In the United States, tread depth is measured in 32nds of an inch. It's a vertical measurement (correctly taken with a tire tread depth guage - not a coin or ruler) between the top of the tread rubber and the bottom of the tire's deepest channel. 4/32's is the minimum tread depth required with Lease Return.  ABOUT TIRE TREAD LIFE EXPECTANCY: The following averages, based on tests conducted by independent tire companies (and also available on Tire Rack, Goodyear, and Modern Tire Dealer), are averages for both High Performance and Standard Passenger tires with proper vehicle alignment and tire inflation under normal driving conditions. Some of these averages may vary depending on certain circumstances, and as a result, it is possible to get better or worse mileage per tire than indicated below.

Exclusive: Lamborghini Reventon Roadster on the way!

Wed, 25 Mar 2009

The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is on the way - with just nine 670bhp cars being produced But this one tops the lot. We have heard, from a very reliable source inside Lamborghini, that the ultimate Lamborghini is about to be announced – The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. We thought the Reventon was very much a one-off cash-cow for Lamborghini.

New De Tomaso Pantera at Frankfurt

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

What is thought to be the new Pantera leaving the De Tomaso facility So far all we’ve officially had from the new De Tomaso, now run by ex Fiat man Gian Mario Rossignolo, is the not particularly well-received De Tomaso Deauville at Geneva in the Spring. It seemed an odd route for the revived De Tomaso to go, and an odd choice of name. The Deauville seems to be halfway between the (poor-selling) BMW 5-Series GT and a Porsche Cayenne.
