College Exhibition: Strate College Degree Show 2007

Strate College hosted its annual Degree Show on June 21st, displaying the assorted works from students graduating from the Industrial Design programs.The celebrations began on the eve of the graduation ceremony at a chic venue in the heart of Paris's Champs Elysees, where montages of the students work played in a slideshow projected behind the bar. At the school the next day, all fifteen students from the Transportation Design program presented their work in an exhibit that spanned two rooms. Frederic Corazza created 'Searth', a vehicle to connect the sprawling artificial islands currently being built around the city of Dubai.

Wraps come off revised Touareg

VOLKSWAGEN has announced prices and specifications for its revised Touareg, ahead of the SUV hitting the showrooms in November. Priced from £43,000, two versions of VW’s 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine will be offered, while the inclusion of an eight-speed auto gearbox has resulted in the entry level 204 horsepower variant emitting just 173g/km CO2 – 11g/km less than before. On the outside, the new Touareg features revised bumpers and grilles, new alloy wheel designs, new colours and bi-xenon headlights as standard.

The frontal design is streamlined: the radiator grille is absent to focus attention on the Renault lozenge logo and to evoke other prestigious Renault cars. "Fluence's interior is simple and easily remembered, with natural harmony," explains Patrick le Quement. The printed leather seats are mounted on runners.
