Yes, it’s another Veyron ‘Legends’ Special – the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Meo Costantini
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Meo Costantini (pictured) is the latest ‘Legends’ Veyron Bugatti are continuing on their path of making just about every Bugatti Veyron that comes out of the factory a special edition car, so we get the third in a series of ‘Bugatti Legends’ cars in the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Meo Costantini at the Dubai Motor Show today. The Meo Costantini – named after Ettorio Bugatti’s friend and the one-time head of the Bugatti Race Team – is being built in a three car run, just like the Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition Veyron. Power from the Meo Costantini Veyron is the same as the regular Grand Sport Vitesse – 1200 horses from its 8.0 litre W12 and a 0-62mph of 2.6 seconds and top speed of 253mph – but it gets cosmetic tweaks to suit its association with Meo Costantini.
VW Golf GTD (2009) first pictures
Fri, 27 Mar 2009By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 27 March 2009 12:30 Volkswagen UK hasn’t even delivered its first new Golf GTi but is already showing us this: the GTD, its diesel alter ego. Powered by a 168bhp version of VW’s ubiquitous common rail 2.0-litre turbodiesel four it sprints to 62mph in just 8.1sec compared with 7.1sec for the 207bhp petrol GTi and its 136mph top speed falls 12mph short. But with 256lb ft of torque (the GTi makes do with 207lb ft) on hand, the diesel should have the upper hand in mid-range performance.
Jaguar-designed Santa's sleigh (2009)
Mon, 14 Dec 2009Santa's sleigh by Jaguar By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 14 December 2009 10:01 CAR has resurrected our Christmas theme from last year, commissioning some top car designers to sketch out their vision for Santa's sleigh. And our first festive treat is this new Jaguar sledge, an intriguing look at a Big Cat on its way to the next chimney top.The bright red sky scooter was designed by 25-year-old Jaguar exterior designer Thomas Smith. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in June 2009 and joined Jaguar this summer, after a placement in Coventry's advanced design studio where he penned a luxury flagship coupé blue-sky project. His version of Santa's sleigh reveals a push-me-pull-you, very modern take on what a Jag could be.
