Korean-born Lee joins the British carmaker from Volkswagen/Audi's Advanced studio in California, where he held the position of chief designer of Exterior from January 2010.

"(Back then) we said it was the end of automotive styling," says Patrick Le Quement, senior vice president for corporate design at Renault and one of the world's most influential automotive designers.
