This pair of aluminum rear XHD bumper pods from Rugged Ridge feature a textured black powder-coat finish. They fit 07-12 Jeep JK Wranglers.
Taking the lightweight theme even further, Rugged Ridge has developed steel inner-framed aluminum rear bumper pods. These new lightweight rear bumper pods still allow for over-sized tires, but take a huge chunk of weight out of the bumper. (The picture shows the rear pods installed with the standard steel D-rings on the XHD rear tire carrier). Each pair of pods can be used with tire carrier part #11546.20 to hang those 35-inch + tires. Shown in the picture with an optional center step. The XHD aluminum bumper pods are approximately 40 pounds lighter than the average steel off road bumper. Government studies show a fuel economy benefit of 2% for every 100 pound of weight savings.
