I have a nice set of 17" BBS RK003 lightweight wheels and tires for sale.   These are 8.5 wide and have a very deep lip.  The offset is 15mm and the center bore is 74.11.  With this lower offset they will sit out fairly wide and fit a large variety of earlier model BMWs.  They have the 74mm center bore to accomodate the E39 BMW so if you want to use on anything else you might want to get the $20 hubcentric rings during install.  The tires are likely too big for anything else other than a E39 so please keep that in mind.  The wheels have been kept in good condition with a few light scrapes around the perimeter.   The wheels are wrapped with Dunlop SP Sport front and Falken FK451 tires on the rears (235/45ZR17) and I have pictured the front and then rear tread pics respectively.  I receive a substantial fedex shipping discount which I pass onto you so shipping will be between $30 -$35 per wheel within the U.S. and if outside the U.S. please contact me. If you need the wheels sooner don't hesitate to contact me. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me. If you want to see them in Newport Beach, CA please contact me.  Free local pickup.

Jaguar XF Diesel S (2008): first details

Mon, 29 Dec 2008

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 29 December 2008 00:31 Jaguar today announces a family of new higher-powered diesel engines, led by a rapid 271bhp version of the derv XF that's aimed squarely at the BMW 535d. It's the fastest diesel Jag ever – and will also slot into the XK coupe and cabrio. The diesel work-out is good news for the XF – today's 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel doesn't have the clout to mix it with the best German engines. We've already complained about the slothful performance of our long-term test XF and the new, bigger 3.0-litre oil-burner should answer such criticisms.

BMW/Exa-sponsored project at ACCD

Wed, 13 Aug 2008

Art Center's BMW/Exa 7th term sponsored project, which we first reported on back in mid-February, recently had its final presentation at the conclusion of the Spring 2008 term. You'll recall the project tasked the students with redesigning a future X5 Sports Activity Vehicle with the express mandate improving its aerodynamic efficiency by at least 30 percent. To achieve this lofty goal, the co-sponsor on the project, Exa Corporation was going to provide both their engineering software PowerFLOW and their technical know-how to virtually test the students' Alias StudioTools design models and provide them with real world aerodynamic feedback.

Jaguar XF Diesel S (2010) Review & Road Test part 2

Fri, 29 Oct 2010

Jaguar XF Diesel S Review – a really very nice interior What you get with the XF Diesel S is a car that is so close to the XFR in the way it handles and performs it’s hard to believe you’re ploughing along in a 3.0 litre diesel. The wall of torque the Diesel S produces certainly helps – it’s within a whisker of the torque the 5.0 litre XFR delivers – and for much of the time the XF Diesel S manages to do a very credible impersonation of its petrol-engined sibling. True, you don’t get all the XFR’s goodies bolted to the XF Diesel S even after you’ve dished up £3k+ to grab the two sporty packages.
