I have up for auction a 1977 PONTIAC 350 / 400 - 800 CFM General Motors Rochester Carburetor. This carb would have been correct for a Firebird or Trans am with the Pontiac 350 / 400 engine and an AUTOMATIC transmission. Carb is used and pretty clean and all parts move freely. See Pictures and judge for yourself. The numbers on this carb are: 17057262 2266 ARK Will work on other Pontiac GM engines too, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Lemans, GTO, Tempest, Firebird, Trans Am, Esprit, Formula, T-37, etc., w/ 350, 400 & 455. This carb is being sold as is , for parts or rebuilder. I recommend a rebuild on all carbs before using if perfection is desired. Chrysler announces high school design competition
Fri, 04 Jan 2013Chrysler has launched its ‘Autorama High School Design Competition 2013'. The competition calls for high school students currently attending a Detroit Public School to design a future luxury Chrysler brand vehicle they picture for the year 2030. Students must submit their designs on one sheet of 14" x 16" paper using pencils, markers or paint and include their name, school, grade level and contact information.

Motor sport may fall slightly outside of Car Design News' usual remit, but the big story this year is the new 'stepped nose', which all teams bar McLaren have introduced to comply with new safety regulations, much to the chagrin of aestheticists. And with designers such as Daniel Simon (he produced the livery for HRT last season) and Peter Stevens (most notable for the Brabham cars of the 1980s) involved with the sport over the years, it's always interesting to check out the season's new machines.
Chevrolet to dealers: Let Cruze shoppers test-drive competitors
Tue, 31 Aug 2010Chevrolet is asking its 3,000 dealers to prepare for the late September launch of the Chevrolet Cruze compact by purchasing competitors' vehicles for test-drive comparisons. Chevrolet is encouraging dealers to have a Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic on site so prospective 2011 Cruze buyers can immediately measure the car against its segment competitors, said Margaret Brooks, Chevrolet small-car marketing director. At a media event Tuesday in suburban Detroit, Brooks said Chevrolet expects buyers to come away with a favorable view of the Cruze.
