Nissan developing the self-cleaning car
Fri, 25 Apr 2014Motorists may never need to wash their cars again, as Nissan is helping to develop paint that repels mud, rain and dirt. The technology, which Nissan tells us is “super-hyrophobic and oleophobic”, creates a protective layer of air between the paint and the environment, preventing dirt sticking to the car. 2012 Mercedes A-Class: First Sketch
Tue, 15 Mar 2011Mercedes A-Class - First Sketch This may well be the first sketch of the 2012 Mercedes A-Class, but with the 2012 A-Class likely to surface at the Shanghai Motor Show next month it seems highly likely we’re in for a run of ‘leaked’ information on the new baby Mercedes. Which is exactly what you’d expect with a major launch at a major motor show looming.
Toyota Prius plug-in to cost from £31k
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Toyota Prius plug-in will cost £31k We thought it was probably too good to be true. When we revealed that the US price for the new Toyota Prius plug-in was 36 per cent more than a regular Prius, we did hope that price increase would apply to the UK too. Because if Toyota were to do the same in the UK, the plug-in Prius would have come in – after the taxpayer very generously chipped in a £5k subsidy for ‘eco’ cars – at a ‘buy’ price in the UK around £2.5k more than the non plug-in Prius.
