This is an ORIGINAL vintage 1920's 1930's Sandoz side-wind clock. Sandoz made these clocks in the 30's for many different makes of cars both American and European.  Ford specificity contracted with Sandoz to make this side wind style clock with 'Ford' oval script and 'precision 8 days' on the dial as an accessory option for the 1933-1934 and early 1935 Ford cars.  Reference Early Ford V8 Club of America Restoration manual.

Of all the Ford clocks produced in the 30's this is the most desired. It is a great addition to all of the  20's& 30's Ford open or closed cars or trucks.

The checker board dial on this clock is original  and in very good condition..  It has been cleaned and the numbers and minute markings on the dial face have been polished. Very hard to find in this condition.   The clock face and bezel measures 2 inches across. 

The 'Ford' oval and the 'precision 8 days' has been added to the dial face matching the original Ford placement. The Ford oval in shape and size is the same as the Original Ford logo used on the 1933 34 Sandoz Ford clocks.

 The clock movement has been professionally cleaned, oiled, adjusted and a new main spring installed.  The clock is in excellent running condition and keeps good time.

The clock case, bezel, spacer, locking ring, crown and back have been polished.  The clock also has a new crystal.

The beveled  mirror is 2 1/2' by 7' which is correct for the Ford mirrors.  The mirror is new and made to 1930's Ford specifications, both in size and with period correct 3/16 inch thick mirror crystal for the mirror. The bevel is correct, sharp, polished and clear.

The clock and mirror will come with a new high quality Vintiques polished stainless steel bracket.  The bracket for closed cars fits 1932 thru 1937 cars and trucks.  I have been told they also fit 38 and 39 closed cars.  The mounting hole measurement on this bracket for closed cars is is 2 1/4 inches from center hole to center hole.

The open car bracket is also made by Vintiques and is polished stainless steel.   The measurement for this bracket from center hole to center hole is 2 inches.

The last picture of the brackets above shows the difference in the two..  The bracket on the right is open car on the left is closed car. Open car brackets mount to center window frame and closed car brackets mount above window frame on header.

These brackets were and can be used for the late 20s and early 30s Ford cars and trucks.  I can't list all the applications there are.  Check you measurement for what fits your car or truck.

The mirror and clock will come mounted to the (one) bracket you prefer.
