Offered for sale are a set of sidemount hubcaps that fit a 1929 Packard.  I made two extra sets of these while restoring a Model 633 Packard limousine and couldn't find anyone that made them.  We spun these out of 18 guage brass and had plated.  You can see from the photos that the oaks lock fit perfectly. This is actually better than what Packard had.  Show quality--rare opportunity.  When they are gone I will not make again. Call Richard Blomquist at White Glove Collection with any questions 608-780-8229.  VISA or MasterCharge Preferred.  last set     lowered price to 400.00

Spied: Mercedes-Benz SLC AMG? UPDATED

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

LATEST UPDATE Mercedes-Benz’s AMG performance car off-shoot has kicked off public road tests of its eagerly awaited new sportscar, which is planned to go on sale in North America in early 2015. Smaller and more affordable than the existing SLS AMG, which the new two door liftback will indirectly replace in the German car maker’s line-up, the new car is planned to compete directly with the Porsche 911, both on price and performance. The coupe model, caught here exiting AMG’s engineering headquarters on the outskirts of Stuttgart in Germany yesterday in the first round of durability testing, will proceed a convertible version of the front-engined, rear-wheel drive sportscar due out in 2016, with an expected price tag of around $100,000 in the US.

Rare foreign cars head to Carlisle this weekend

Thu, 15 May 2014

Every spring, Carlisle, Pa., (otherwise known as the Woodstock of the classic-car hobby, a title it now fully shares with Hershey) hosts a weekend event just for foreign cars. Last year, over 1,000 cars gathered in central Pennsylvania, with rare foreign machinery making its way from all over the lower 50 and parts of Canada. The longest-traveled cars we spotted last year wore British Columbia plates, which should give you a clue as to the event's following, though we're still unsure which cars we spent the longest time gawking at.
