New CNC-tooled distributor gear housing for 1929 Plymouth "U" 127cid 4-cylinder flathead engine

the solution for a new life for that nice engines

The housing is made from aircraft aluminum a7075, with brass cap and grease nipple

3D-CAD designed and tested at a real engine-block

with brass glide bushings for the driving shaft. Here we need the ecact diameter in mm measured by a caliper because the bushings will be manufactured individually depending on the wear of the driveshaft.

The reason for designing a new gear housing was that the old one had the "zinc pest". The lead inside the housing reacted with the tin over the
decades and the part crumbles like a dry cake.

The scope of delivery is the housing with the bearings, the grease nipple and the brass cap with gasket and the screws. You need to reuse Your own old drive shaft and the original distributor.

Made in Germany!

The parts will be manufactured individually after ordering and will be shipped latest 2 weeks after ordering. On request You can get an invoice.

The shipping company is FedEx.

Hyundai heading for more dual clutch gearboxes instead of CVT

There’s an argument that somehow CVT gearboxes offer better fuel economy than an automated dual clutch ‘box, even though logic says otherwise. Toyota insist on using a CVT ‘box on their hybrid cars when they’d feel much better to drive with an auto or dual clutch ‘box.

This is the Porsche 911 GT3 R, a hardcore racer powered by a 4.0-litre flat six and designed to compete in international FIA GT3 race series come 2010. Yes. First there was the GT3, then the more powerful and wider-bodied GT3 RS, and then a Cup race version of that car.
