Swedish sports-car maker Koenigsegg may buy Saab
Thu, 11 Jun 2009General Motors has chosen Swedish luxury sports car maker Koenigsegg Automotive AB as the preferred bidder for the Saab brand, news reports said. Koenigsegg and Norwegian investors have signed a letter of intent to take over Saab, Swedish television said Thursday, attributing its report to unnamed sources. "The deal is there now and a few minor details remain," a source told Reuters.
Changan CS35
Mon, 21 May 2012Changan CS35 unveiled its first compact urban SUV concept at the recent Beijing auto show, designed at the company's European Design Center under Luciano D'Ambrosio. The CS35's horizontal grille with its Changan logo is similar in style to the Changan Yidong, while its side features a diving waistline and four prominent wheel arches reminiscent of the Ford Kuga. The C-pillar design is distinctive with its graphic split from the roof and the use of the brand's logo as a decorative feature.
Local Motors reveals 3D-printed car design
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Local Motors has chosen the design it will 3D-print during the course of the International Manufacturing Technology Show (ITMS) in Chicago, IL, which runs from 8-13 September. Called Strati, the concept was judged the best entry in Local Motors' first 3D Printed Car Design Challenge. It was created by Italian designer Michele AnoƩ, and his design 'will inform and influence' the car to be printed during the course of the ITMS.
